ANNUALS

Blackcurrent swirl; Double White Lady; Double yellow;

I have found most of these very disappointing as the flowers tend to go brown and wither quickly.

D.innoxia:

Not a particularly tall plant it has velvety, grey green foliage, large upward pointing trumpets of white tinged with pink or lilac. Upward pointing flowers, more compact shrub, grows from seed and flowers in one season. All produce spiky seed pods.

La Fleur Lilac:

La Fleur Lilac is the exception in this category with its tiny lilac trumpets, as the flowers die a spiky seed pod forms. I found that if these seed pods are cut off the plant will continue to flower all summer but if allowed to develop they grow into hard prickly 2” balls, which produce masses of seeds, all over the plant, which then dies. An extremely interesting plant, well worth growing.

There are obviously many more species but to date these are the only ones that I have had experience with growing from seed or cuttings. I will update this website as I find out more and grow any new species.
